January 11th, the North Node will move into Pisces from Aries, and the South Node will transition from Libra into Virgo. Timestamp: January 12th, midnight Eastern
The North Node in the 6th house and the South Node in Virgo in the 12th house.
Here's the chart: This event will occur in the evening, but chances are you are already feeling this upcoming energetic shift.

Mundane Astrology Chart not a Natal Chart.

Here is the chart, this will occur in the evening, but chances are you already are feeling this upcoming energetic shift.
Astrology combines a structured framework with personal interpretation. There is also the ability to use different calculations. With the nodes the option is to use true node or mean node, I use true node and is why my chart shows this shift earlier on the 11th instead of the 29th of January.
Then there is the interpretation of what the nodes represent. For example, while the North and South Nodes mark significant points in the celestial map, their meanings can vary among astrologers, reflecting individual insights and perspectives. One way is karmic lessons, another way is destiny and purpose, and past-life influences. I look at it as destiny and purpose, more specifically a pathway of purpose the soul came to experience and play in.
All of that sounds so serious. While it is, we can simplify this beautifully using this shift into Virgo and Pisces. The south node is here on earth, it's you the whole package. While the north node would be in the air, and still you, in spirit form or the highest expression of you. Some call this Christ consciousness, God, Source, Higher Self, use whatever label your beliefs are pulled to. The unseen that we transcribe or believe to be from and or returning to.
Looking at the nodes from the duality of this perspective, is why the south node is said to feel comfortable or familiar while the north node may feel out of reach or harder to grasp the energy of. Lets bring in the flavor of the energy of Virgo and Pisces in the zodiac. Virgo is earth and Pisces is water.
Pisces Themes:
Spirituality and Intuition: Pisces is deeply connected to the spiritual and mystical realms, valuing intuition, dreams, and the unseen.
Compassion and Empathy: Known for its compassionate and empathetic nature, Pisces often feels a strong connection to others' emotions and experiences.
Creativity and Imagination: Pisces is highly creative and imaginative, often excelling in artistic and musical pursuits.
Healing and Sacrifice: This sign is drawn to healing and selfless service, often putting others' needs before their own.
Escapism and Boundaries: Pisces can sometimes struggle with setting boundaries and may resort to escapism or avoidance when overwhelmed.
Virgo Themes
Practicality and Analysis: Virgo is detail-oriented and values practicality, often excelling in organization and analysis.
Service and Work: Known for its dedication to service, Virgo finds fulfillment in helping others and being of practical use.
Health and Wellness: Virgo is often focused on health, hygiene, and wellness, emphasizing a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Perfectionism and Criticism: Virgo can have a tendency toward perfectionism and can be critical, both of themselves and others.
Order and Routine: Valuing structure and routine, Virgo thrives in environments where they can create order and efficiency.
Everyone has Virgo and Pisces in your chart, you may not have your natal nodes in these charts, if you do this may feel more pressing or present for you. As well as where these signs are in your individual chart. When the nodes change signs, the north node will be in the 6th house and the south node in the 7th. Again, this might not be where your natal chart placements are. If you have your natal chart that includes houses, then use the house themes for your personal chart. This will be discussing mundane astrology using houses 6th and 12th.

As you can see from the infographic above, they will be in each other's houses. Alice has gone down the rabbit hole, and we are in the upside down. So, you're going to feel more inclined to lean into Virgo themes like practicality and analysis, service and work, health and wellness, perfectionism and criticism and order and routine from the 12th house perspectives endings, spirituality and the unconscious.
The north node being more zoomed out finding meaningful work that aligns with your values and brings a sense of fulfillment through helping others while also integrating physical health with emotional and spiritual care through the lens of the 6th house themes: daily routines, work, health.
The nodes will be in these signs for 18 months; however, the houses will change as the days tick by as time flies. So, if you're looking at those themes and rolling your eyes, the good news is it won't exactly be a constant thorn in your side and understand that is the "bell" ringing as this 18th month cycle or timeline takes place.
Speaking of cycles, in astrology the position of where the nodes are is also where the eclipses (think full moon on steroids vibes) occur. Eclipses act as catalysts for transformation, encouraging us to address lingering issues with effects lasting up to six months. Understanding lunar node cycles and eclipses offers insights into life events and growth.
Let's use my own chart as an example to tie this together. With Pisces in the 10th house and Virgo in the 4th, I'll be pulled towards finding work that aligns with my values and brings a sense of fulfillment, even though my natural inclination might be to focus on my home and family. Over the next 18 months, I need to stay mindful of this dynamic, looking for areas where I feel the nudge of Pisces in my career aspirations, while noting that any triggers will likely manifest in a Virgo manner, influencing my domestic life and routines. While also being balancing these energies, I'll be working towards a harmonious integration of my career, home life, daily routines, spiritual growth by letting go of perfectionism and over-criticism in my spiritual practices, releasing self-sacrifice and hidden anxieties. I'll work towards balancing my career, home life, routines, and spiritual growth.
Simple as mud, yes? So, I invite you, to find the simplicity in knowing just the sign (Pisces and Virgo) themes, understanding that over the next 18 months they might be coming forward and if you're looking to where in the sky to give gratitude or eye rolls during this period the nodes are your points of reference.
